Berlin laptop friendly cafes to remote work
Updated 9th October 2024

Berlin, the capital of Germany is a melting pot of cultures, ideas and experiences and is increasingly gaining momentum as a key European startup hub.

Digital Nomads or Global Circlers as we prefer to call them looking for hedonism, and a cool alternative vibe inevitably flock to Berlin, especially during the warmer months.

When in Berlin, where should you go with your laptop when you need to get some work done?

Berlin as with many large metropolitan cities offers free Wifi in a number of locations including public libraries.

Additionally, train operator Deutsche Bahn offers free Wifi in many Berlin train stations including Hauptbahnhof, Ostbahnhof, Gesundbrunnen, Südkreuz, Zoologischer Garten, Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstrasse.

To access the free wifi at the Deutsche Bahn stations look for the WIFI@DB network. You can connect for free.

Do keep in mind that the Deutsche Bahn WiFi at the train stations may not always be strong but it could help you out if you are nearby.

As this guide is focused on cafes to remote work we have curated below a selection of cafes and other locations where you can rock up with your laptop and work remotely whilst enjoying free wifi, barista quality coffee, tea, breakfast, brunch and of course good vibes!

The laptop-friendly cafes are listed in no particular order and we do update this page.
